Well I finally took out my 5.2L Dakota Sport. I
am tired of street racing and I guess I just
finally grew up and I am now just going to the
track. I have seen to many street racing
accidents and do not want to be a part of
it....so...this is how my 318 did. I did this time
while racing Jeremy's 04 3.7 5 speed with
3.92s and suregrip. I will post the timeslips on
the board if someone could help me out on
this one. I do have a scanner but do not know
how to post the timeslips.

Heres how it goes:

60' = 2.188
1/8 = 9.759 @ 70 mph
1/4 = 15.423 @ 84.5 mph

If someone could tell me how I can put my
timeslips on here...I would be so greatful. I
was surprised about my trap times...they
seemed sort of low but o well.

The only mods I have done to my truck is a
homemade CAI and a shift kit.

Thanks!!

Mike

Well....I was wondering what everyone thought about my track times...were they good, bad, or maybe average?
I think they might be a little better than average even if I have 255/70 Daytons. The VHT on the track helped my 60' times.
What do all of you think about this?

Well it has 3.55 with an open rear end. I only made 2 passes and the first pas had bad traction and had a 2.284 60' and ran a 15.592 and the traction was the same i just launched too hard. But I am sure I can get about a 15.3 if I get better at it. Not bad for an auto with a mild shift kit. Its a good running truck...I just want to run a 4.7 rc auto and see how I do?
Thanks for the credit.

BTW jeremy ran a 16.103 at 82 mph and his 60' was 2.295 thats with 2 passes as well. He did pretty good. If he had slicks he might break into the very high 15s. But then again If I had slicks I might do a 15.1 or so depending on the launch and 60'

O well not bad for street tires on that 60'

Thanks!

Mike

Well I have beaten a 5.0 5speed mustang...Im
pretty sure all he had done was an exhaust
system and thats it.
This truck is quick but its not a SRT-10.
I dont consider this truck to be OMG its
freaking fast but it does embarass some
sports cars....hehe..

This are great times. For some reason my
trap speed looks a little low. They said the trap
speeds stil need to be tweaked but there is
aover $5000 into the time system. When i
crossed the 1/4 mark I was doing 88-89 mph
but the track said I did 84.5 mph.

With a few more mods like headers and
single 3 inch exhaust and the Mopar PCm I
should be running 14s.

Mike

I just ran my '93 Dakota Club Cab. Just turned 100,00 miles. The only mod from stock original is: I cut off the converter, installed a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler with 2 3/4 pipe frt to back. It has a 3.55 rear end with a one wheeler peeler axle. The truck ran a 15.73. Then I installed a Mopar Performance PCM, flipped over the air cleaner lid and ran a 15.40. Don't remember what the 60ft times were.
