I've heard somebody else say that about a 2002 RT with federal emissions. It's pretty cool as the MP headers (Positive Performance) for the 2000 model should be identical, and they are the best because they are long tube and have a new y-pipe. I still don't know the legality of it if you do live in a place with smog testing, the CARB exemption is only for the particular year.

Get you some JBA headers for it... don't bother with a Y-pipe, as the factory y-pipe for that year is already very well done.

Hey, didn't I talk to you on the phone today?

Some are from Bernd, some I did. I haven't run the 1/4 yet. I want to do the 1/8th mile in Sanger (10 minutes away from me) but it is supposed to rain tomorrow. I am getting it Dyno'd on saturday or tuesday. I will post my results from these mods. Then in april, I am getting some serious stank put in the truck. Supercharger and 1.7 rockers. Then maybe the M1 intake and R/T heads....

The y pipe may be better but it still will be the bottleneck if you don't replace it.

Hersbird - The Y-pipes on the last couple of years are not bottlenecks like previous years...

Kris - The R/T heads are really nice! the rockers are not hard to install... Just depends on how much money you want to spend! You going to come down to Ennis tonight?

Tom "Slick"

I still think anybody looking for maxumum performance would want full length headers and a mandrel bent Y-pipe, over the stock Y-pipe and shorty headers. Unless required by state laws. I bet every Dakota builder around here, (speedtweeks, KRC, etc) would recommend the Positive Performance headers for max power.
