in the mopar cat. they have templets for porting of the stock magnum heads. has anyone used these and if you have what did you think??

Never used them but seen them recomended in the resto magazines for the older heads. Seems like a good idea - could help keep you from grinding too much and ruining your heads.

I have just picked up a set of porting templates and it seems fairly general. All of the work is done in the bowl and there is no templates for the runners. It really does not seem that to much metal is removed. haven't started yet but will get to it soon.

I just picked up a set, the other day, I plan on using them in a couple of weeks. I think mopar muscle had an article on head porting using templetes, just don't remember the link. I forgot to bookmark it.
