i don't know if it would work on a 4.7. the 4.7 have 2 precats coming 1 off each exhaust manifold. and then one big cat that the y pipe goes into. i just cut mine off recently muaha. but if you say the cat is a dual in single out then it prob will not bolt right up to the 4.7 since the 3rd cat on a 4.7 is single in single out. hope this helps.

so i assume it goes, downpipes, precats in each, then a y pipe and the 3rd cat?

Yes, but not all 4.7's have 3 cats.

2000 4.7 CC auto, clear corners, Magnaflow catback, Kenne Bell s/c, Aquamist water injection.

Many of the '00's only had one cat. Mine is an '00 4.7L w/ one cat. I replaced mine with a 2.5" in/out carsound cat. I think some of the later '00's may have had 3 cats though. I got mine in Feb '00.
