Subject: Engine light came on???

I just got though taking my TB off and cleaning it.it runs so much better,it idles at higher rpm's and does not act like its going to die when i hit the brakes,one thing though when i put it back on she though the engine light on.What did i do wrong everythings hooked up right.

Sorry dave forgot to say what size motor i have, Its a 4.7.It has one vacum hose and its hooked up...umm i just don't know what i did wrong.

By chance, did you have the ignition key before everything was reconnected? Also, you mention the idle is higher - is it significantly higher? What was the engine idling at before?

bludakman,Umm...when the TB was off i did have the key in the ignition listening to the radio could that have caused anything to go wrong if so is it bad of no biggy?Before it was idling at 500 rpm's and now its right at 800 rpm's and doesnt die when i come to a stop but then agian i didnt drive it to far aleast till i find out whats wrong

If the ignition was turned on, and you had sensor connectors unplugged (which I'm sure you did), that more than likely is the cause. You might try clearing them by disconnecting the batt. negative cable for a bit, but remember - the computer will have to relearn to run, so it might have a hard start or start/stall condition for a bit.
