Last I heard, it was a hoax. .. Twin Turbo Mufflers maybe, but not actually turbocharged.

This is my truck I live in Miami and it is twin turbo. I have had it twin turbo since april. The turbos were done by Sci-Tech Motorsports. If you want another page to see it on its on Speedgraphics.net but without the rims. If you have any questions ask and Ill get back on Monday because I will be out of town this weekend. The truck is also on Nopi.com under Nopi Nationals coverage.

If I had twin turbos that were just for show I wouldn't be too interested in talking about times either. Even then I would certainly post some pics of the thing. Decals that just say twin turbo are much cheaper than the real thing.

BoostedRT, seems like a prety weak thing to rip into somebody elses truck that maybe isn't done exactly the same way you would do it. I didn't see Gman coming here talking a bunch of flap about how he has the fastest Dakota on the planet. It does seem that maybe you think you do have that fastest Dakota, but haven't seen any pics or time slips from you either. That's a pretty clean looking Dakota, if you don't like graphics they can be pulled off easilly. I kind of doubt somebody would be allowed into the SEMA show with big "twin turbo 4.7" decals on a truck with no twin turbo. It sort of defeats the whole purpose of SEMA! Crap, no wonder Gman left this site with that kind of attitude from fellow Dakota owners, this ain't the damn civic forum.

I like the mirrors under the truck more than the decals personally. I think it adds a very nice touch!

To answer a few questions the truck has been on the set for the filming of the Fast & the Furious 2. It was a lot of fun. The truck is Twin Turbo it has 2 Turbonetic T3-T4 hybrids 50 trim. The reason for the mirrors is that the turbos are mounted under the truck. Hopefully soon I will get to post some more pics of the building process. I was at the Miami Bch Convention center for the show 2 weeks ago. By the way this is my daily driver.

Why won't you post better photos of at least the images in the mirrors??
How does the intake tube route from the turbos' to the throttlebody??
How do you drain the oil from the turbo's back to the oil pan if they are that low down??

Odd the turbos are that low. I would think you'd want them considerably higher as to have gravity help with the oil.

This guy has been posting this same info for months and still no pics of the turbo??????? That is why he is getting flamed.I recall both Duner and CW asking for a pic and GMAN said tommorow and yet we still have no pics of the turbo.
GMAN-I will give you all the prase in the world as soon as I see pics or timeslips.

Low mounted turbos just require a low mount reservior and a pump to move the oil back into the oil pan... I've seen a few companies to it that way...
GMAN - it would be nice to see at least one underhood shot of the system... that would quiet most people... I don't want to doubt you, but the only other turbocharged Dakotas have all shown that they truely are turboed... like Nick Kramer, Duner, and The twin-turbo R/T that SpeedTweaks built(that I designed)...

Even if it is a twin turbo Dakota built entirely by Bruce Kelly of Sci-Tech (see Nick Kramer), I have some simple math.
Air/Fuel=Bark/Bite
14.7:1 is fair in each case, i think.....

GMAN had a beef with me because I questioned/doubted his claims of the truck running 10s with twin turbos on a 4.7..... and no mention of other supporting mods.
That's all water under the bridge.
I'd still love to see pics of the install and also know how much power it makes. (I'm sure it looks much nicer than my "CBE Crude But Effective" type of install) Then of course the obvious questions about how much boost it makes, how quick it is and what was done for a fuel system.
I just find it quite amazing that all the people that went to the sema show and took pics.... and nobody took underhood/underneath pics of this Dakota?

well, I live in miami and I know they started filming some scenes yesterday and will shoot untill wed. or thursday. They closed down part of the higheway to film some race scenes. I'm gonna try and check it out. They asked if I wanted to be in the sequal but then found out I didnt have much engine work done, so there goes my chance. Oh well, my truck might not run 10's, but it sure does turn headz..

Like duner said those 10 sec claims are water under the bridge. They were made when this thing first was going into the shop before the owner was proberly schooled on Dakota performance. I'm sure he was just a fresh excited new Dakota owner who thought if a turboed v-6 could run 11's then a turboed v-8 would be 10's. So now 9 months have passed and the thing is actually built, but I doubt if it's being shown and filmed it's probably not been properly thrashed at the strip yet. Maybe it never will, IMO kind of a waste of performance dollar, but then there are Vipers sitting in garages, right now, all over the country that have under 5000 miles on them as well!
