I had a similar bad experience. And it's a shame too. Some of the people there have been very helpful to all of us on this board. But you must answer the phones, return calls and at least make an atempt to help the people who buy from you. I couldn't recommend them. And I am sorry for that too, but thats the way it is.

Bernd is a good guy and he knows his sh*t. I would guess if he's having these sort of problems it's because he's doing so much business, he can't keep up. If you're following this thread Bernd, think about hiring someone to answer phones and take orders. It will probably make you more money than it will cost you.

Randy,
I've visited this site for over a year now, and have seen many people throw a b!tch fit about how terrible speedtweaks shipping is and lemmie tell you, after a couple weeks, they're always apologizing, and feeling like such asses. Now I realize you didn't go calling them out or anything your just wondering what's going on. Just be a bit patient, you'll get your part. Speedtweaks hasn't been in business from not sending their customers parts. So just give it time.

Oh Brother. There's a good one. There's more to the story-- you'll see. How can a business STAY in business when it cannot take orders??? Hmmm... Ever try to call them to place an order??? They never answer the phones. You haven't been able to place an order with them via the webpage for over a month and a half. I don't know of any business (small) that can survive without new sales for that length of time. People complain about products paid for but not received for months on end. Smell the roses guys...

Actually I placed an order with them a couple of weeks back. I got some good advice from Bernd (as usual) and got the part I ordered when he said it would be delivered. The part you ordered...was it the IAT adjuster? Get a refund cause they aren't around anymore.

I've only done business with Bernd a few times now but I've never had anything to complain about. Because of this I will continue to give my business to Speedtweaks.

Quit whining people and give these guys your patience. There are few companies out there putting time into our trucks.

This post wasn't directed at any one individual...so don't get all agitated.

And to Speedtweaks...Keep up the good work!!!

that being said, i tried to order some parts from him about 2 months agao, and never got a call back after leaving a message on his phone, or a responce to e-mails.

what do you mean keep your patience?? when you NEED something you need it! i was not going to sit around and wait untill they felt like contacting me! who knows how long that would have taken, if at all. so i went somewhere else.

i dont know why they dont hire someone to help them? if they dont, they will be out of business whithin a year.

Yes...we've had a few issues (personal and business related) within the last few months which have taken a toll on us. What we're doing right now is playing catch-up and are going as fast as we can (with in-house labor, current orders, and back-orders). There's only two of us and hiring a third person isn't an option as funding for it would be required...we don't have that at the moment.

Randy,

I do sincerely apologize for the delay on the O2-SIMM and will ship it out today (found the order). USPS #03001290000288914957 - Will be in the system after 6pmCST today.

Tim:

It's not just me who's been suffering with the economy (problems with order delays, back orders, etc.). But...to explain what we've been going through:

(1) Issues with ex-wife and welfare of children in CA
(2) Father Died a few months ago
(3) Helping out my mother in CA with all the "legal stuff" from the death of my father
(4) Economy taking a toll on ALL vendors and suppliers
(5) Suppliers not making extra inventory to stock shelves - keeping "live" inventory at a minimum
(6) Moving to a different webserver and dealing with emails not being sent
(7) PayPal not forwarding email notifications (payments) - causing 30-day late deliveries and refunds (Cancelled PayPal and still working on new, shopping cart pages)
(8) Pregnant wife (7 months) who had severe "hormonal imbalances" during the first few months (couldn't work during that time so there was no second income)
(9) And just recently: SWBell decides to move the lines from one side of the highway to the other...cutting phone lines (DSL service included) and shutting down our entire complex for almost a week.

On the viruses...check the email headers before jumping to conclusions. We've also received many emails with viruses attached as well (all deleted and/or cleaned) from various vendors...including a few from "support@symantec.com" (go figure on that one). All bogus and checking the email headers shows you who the actual sender was.

Yeah...we've had our fair share of issues. Personal or Business related.

Is is a hobby? Absolutely not. It's what I do to keep a roof over my familiy's head. If you don't like what we're doing or can't understand that EVERYONE is going through some tough times right now...here's a few links:

Dear Bernd

I haven't purchased anything from your company, but your input to this site and your own web site can't be disputed. You have bent over backwards to get things through some of these guy's heads about a problem they have.

If I lived closer to your shop, I would come down and volunteer some time and help you get the orders out, in return for the help you have given here.

PS The #1 reason I haven't ordered from you was "PayPal" My wife works in a financial institute and PayPal is a dirty word around her business.

Best wishes to you and all your family

Y'all think YOU asked stupid questions? I couldn't properly connect two simple wires on my IAT Adjuster a year ago (how embarassing)! He tested my very unit on his truck, and then sent me a fresh one with different style connectors even though there was nothing wrong with the first. Wouldn't even let me pay for shipping. How's THAT for service?

Hang in there Bernd. When it rains it pours, but if life's problems were more spread out we'd never have proverbial dry roads to fly down in our trucks!

I'll ditto on the couple people that said the only reason they hadn't ordered was because of paypal. Beyond that:

Bernd it always giving advice here. It always looks good to me. He at least tries to help out. Dig this. Marty at KRC is the same way. He tries to help out. But I've called Marty something like 10 times and actually gotten to talk to him twice. Worldwide performance parts? Called them 4 times, got a live person once. Jonas at premiere automotive? I've been trying to get hold of him on the phone for weeks, no dice. At least he responds to his emails.

Lets face it. All of these people are busy. They have the knowhow to do things with our trucks that we don't have, or the guts to undertake doing this stuff for a living that we don't have. If you don't cut these people some slack, you're going to have a massive cornary fialure, and the only thing it'll change is these kind, overworked, underpaid people will have one less person bitching at them.

I don't know Bernd or have ever dealt with him, BUT it say alot about his character to have given such an indepth and patient explaination. It says a lot keeping his cool after being blasted, esp. in light of all of the additional personal turmoil going on.
And yes almost ALL companies have done away with keeping inventory. It is an IRS thing so most companies try to do the "just in time" thing.

Bernd,

Sorry to hear of your loss.
