Hey guys first time running into this forum.
What can i add to my 2001 quad cab 3.9v6 to boost the horsepower? i keep looking on the net and seeing NOS, dont want to go that route. I heard o f the chip and air filter- what do you guys recommend?

I bought this truck due to my car crapping out and couldnt find a v8 in time so i have to live with the 6. need more power than the stock 175hp :) thanx guys

Cold air intake, modified V6 throttle body or a stock throttle body of a 96+ dakota (you may need a new throttle body cable), 1.7 roller rockers, 180*F thermostat, crank sensor mod (you'll have to look up how to do it), better flowing exhaust (most recommend using the Dynomax 17748 muffler or a flowmaster 40 or 50 series (original or delta flow...delta is just a lil quieter). Also you can switch the stock plugs over to Autolite 3923's which are 1 heat range cooler (original gapped at .035, platinum tip AP3923 gapped at .040). Ummm... Relocate your IAT sensor. That's all I can come up with right off the top of my head.

Red 98 RC V6 2wd Single in/dual out exhaust (soon to be switched to a flowmaster 40 single in/dual out), s-bolt "mod", Edelbrock 10" round air cleaner w/ K&N air filter, removed rubber flap...and more to come
