 Subject: oil press and water temp spiked

Hey guys, I washed my 94 v6 last sunday and hosed off
the dirt on the engine. The last three days, my oil
pressure is higher then normal (almost at the limit) and
the water temp doesn't stop till it clears three quaters
the stock gauge limit. It's past time to change the
thermistat anyway, but thats not the only thing wrong
here, is it? Last night, the oil press. got to it's "new high"
right in the parking lot (after sitting 8.5 hrs.). Any ideas?

you washed dirt up into the wiring and shorted it out to the gages, you may have to replace either the engine senders or the wiring
