i know...read maximum boost...but anyway, what happens if u install some sort of forced induction w/o changing the fuel injectors or PCM program(and anything else u need to do) basically blowing air into a stock engine, what does that do???

depends on how much you blow into your engine...

the more air you get into your engine the more fuel you will need. The computer can adjust to little amounts of air (6# of s/c should be fine with stock hardware). But it would be better with better injectors. If you add more boost say 12# then you are adding a lot more air... if you dont add more fuel then you will run into a lean condition and burn the tops of your pistons and cause holes in your engine (cylinder meltdown). Now the best way to tell how much fuel you do/dont need is to get a air/fuel gage and possibly a exhaust temperature gage. Another thing to look at is also cylinder pressures... the more boost you run the more pressure (of course). Thats a problem with turbo people.... once you get boost you want more and if you have stock piston as opposed to forge than you can kill them also. Also you can help with an intercooler to cool the air down. When i was on the Shelby Dodge Mailing List i saw a lot of people who were running 25-35 lbs of boost and they had some trick fuel systems... added a fifth fuel injector into the air intake tube before the throttle body to get more fuel (but only under high boost)

The injectors will have to be changed but nothing needs to be done to the PCM. We'll be running the Split-Second FTC-1 with the Turbo kits as it allows for fuel control as well as timing control under boost.

V6 Turbo Kit: 24-30# Injectors (depending on boost)
V8 Twin Turbo Kit: 30# Injectors

Not hard at all... you can run as much boost as you would like to, but the engine might not handle it too well...

Head gaskets, head studs, polish the bowls (to help prevent detonation), upgrade the injectors, larger throttle body, fuel and timing control...

Stronger Pistons, Rods, and Crank, too if you're wanting to run a major amount of boost... plus you would want turbos that are matched for the boost you want...

assuming u stick with 6-8, how long will the engine last??

if u wanted to go really fast for a short period of time, could u just put it at 10-14 just for a bit(to beat a fast car)??

how hard are injectors to install?? and do they come with the kit???

Injectors are easy to install...yes they come with the kit...

6-8psi isn't too hard on the engine...but, how long it last depends on the driver...

10 psi, I would say better head-gaskets and Mopar Perf. or ARP Head Bolts...

Yes, you can crankupi the boost for a short amount of time, but that is all that it might take to blow the head gasket or something else...
