Message: You idle air control valve is sticking. Remove the valve and replace it. I had the same problem with mine. I tried cleaning the iac but it didn't help.

Message: James, does this happen only on the first start of a cold morning? If so, you may want o have your battery load tested. A weak battery can start the truck but be weak enough for the ECM to lose idle memory until the altenator charges the battery back up.

Message: I can't see it being the IAC if it only does it when it's cold. As daddio said above have it load tested not just tested.
