first off, great site and info...
i've gained a ton of info about my dak over the past few weeks, by reading this sight.
i have a major overheating problem!
background: 97 dak, 3.9l, auto, 87k
last summer, new waterpump, timing chain, etc.
ok, it was really warm yesterday, everything seemed fine until, i hit the highway, hit about 80 and it just kept running hotter an hotter. probably over 220. turned the air off, no difference. slowed down and the temp lowered a bit, but still over 210. it seems to not overheat (over 220 yes too hot but not rising) as long as motor under 2gs/70mph.
it will sit and idle and not heat up, gets to 210 and no higher.
my thought, plugged rad. fan and t-stat seems to be working since alls fine sitting still at idle. no oil in water or vis-a-vers.
well, lookin for advice,

I'll second the plugged rad notion! I assume that you've already checked the coolant level of course!!! ;-)

yeah, water levels fine. even removed some fluid and added straight water. had a t-stat put in during the winter, just incase they put straight antifreeze in. monday i'm gonna call around and see if anyone in this poedunk arkansas town has a rad flow bench, yea-right... haha
