Apparently while I was putting my truck back together I have missed something. When I go to turn the truck on, nothing happens. No click from the starter, no cranking, nothing. Now my radio/accessories work and I have checked all of my fuses but my starter doesn't work.

How many wires connect to the starter? Should it crank even if it's not bolted into the trans? Is there a relay or something that I could be missing?

Can somebody show me a picture or give me step by step what happens when you turn the key on the ignition to getting the power to the starter?

I even took an extra wire, hooked it up to the positive and then touched the starter as my friend tried to start my truck. Nothing happened.

Starter must be bolted to ground to complete the circuit.
