Subject: No Start Electrical IP: Logged
Message: Twice now the truck wouldn't start, wouldn't even click. Seems like a bad battry, except its only a month old and works fine. Checked all connections, after a few tries it starts. Heat blower does not work, but the heat does. Could it be some sort of fuse problem or something? The Alternator is old, but it doesn't seem to be that. I am very confused.

Message: solenoid is part of the starter. pull the starter and check. also ignition module is part of the smec (just info). Check ASD relay by swapping it with the one right next to it.

Message: I have a new starter and selnoid, it is definately electric, dosen't even click when I try to start it. Plus with key in the ignition, the buzzer is silent, but the battery is full, so it must be a connection. At work till about 4, I'll try cleaning all connections after work. Had to leave it home today.

Check connector closely - about 6 wires

Message: There is one burnt connection on my Ballast resistor, how do I replarce it, the six wires look permently attached. Will the new one just get spliced on? Where can I get this part besides the dealer, would Auto Zone have it?

Message: I repaired mine.I moved the burnt pin over to another pin that was on the same circuit, now it works fine, the heater & A/C.
Napa has it for $10.49 (in Mississippi) next day order. They call it a "blower motor control".
Hope this helps.

Message: ok, I'll get the part and see what is included. It was melted, so the pin is no good. Looks like I may have to add a new pin.
