 Subject: Innovations Pro-Sport Tonneau

Does anyone know if Innovations Fiberglass is a dependable company? Only reason i ask is that i REALLy want their pro-sport tonneau with the wing, but they said that they don't ship and if i get a shipping company they guarentee nothing at all. SO i could be spending 1000 dollars on a tonneau cover that gets to me in pieces and im out that money. Any help with getting one of these tonneau covers OR if you have one and can tell me how you like it would be REALLY helpful.

I found it looking thorugh peoples pictures, but there website is www.innovationsfiberglass.com.
They qouted me 1000 dollars and didn't even insure that when it got to my house that it would be ok. They are not very customer friendly it seems........but hopefully i can find someone that is because it seems that they do a really nice job on thier product AND its the only one out there with a nice wing.

I own the Innovations pro-sport cover. It is a very nice cover but I don't think anybody should go through the hassle I went through to get it. The first time it was shipped to me it took like 3 months . The cover sat in the warehouse for a month. Someone had beat it up with a fork lift. It had deep gouges all over the cover. When the cover finally came to my house I didn't sign for it. I called Innovations up screaming and they stated that they just happened to have another the same color. Thay air-shipped it to me and I got lucky because that one was in great shape. If I was you I would go with the Gaylords cover. They now make the same exact cover. Good luck.

WOW, thats exactly what i didn't want to hear. It's really too bad they make a nice cover just don't stick behind their product. Thanks VERY much for the heads up. Looks like gaylords for me i guess.

True but still easy enough to come off and personally.......i like the look better then a Z28....thats why im driving my dakota i guess
If anyone has any info on when the gaylords speedsturr is comming out for the dakota please let me know.

When I think of a z28, I picture a 32 year old dude with a mullet, home-made party tattoo's, and sunglasses, driving a mid 80's z28 with the "high output" 305. Jamming out to metallica on his stock stereo. Thinking he is the coolest person in the world, when he is actually just a typical no toothed redneck in a camaro. He also probably thinks his car is the fastest thing on the road....These are the people I loved to embarass when I was 17 with my little 2.2 turbo 5-speed spirit R/T. Chevy---like a rock....pushin it, pullin it, or kicking it the fu(k out of your way.

I would also like to know a definite release date on the gaylord speedsturr tonnue. i bet the price will be sky high just as the innovations is.

Gaylords won't be making the speedstur cover for the dakota. I emailed them about it and they sent me a email back saying they won't be making it for the dakota. I'm just gonna get theres without the wing. Still looks good in my opinion. X2000 series I think its called.

That sucks i really want a tonneau with and integrated wing. If anyone has anymore information on the innovations cover and whether they are happy or not that would be great because it looks like they are the only one with a nice mild wing.

It says on there site that the speedstur cover is coming soon for the dakota but in there email to me they said they are not going to be making it for the dakota. They make it for the ram and the fords and chevys but not the dakota apparently.

Yea i sent them an email too and they told me that there were not enough offers to get them to make it. So maybe we as dakota owners should do something about that haha

I wish that i heard better things about Innovations pro sprot cover because that is the one that i want the most to begin with.........but i can't afford to spend 1000 on one and have it shipped to NY to find out that it is broken and im outta luck.
