I just got my 20s today. I bought them used and they came with (2) 245/40/20 Goodrich tires. Well, I couldn't wait to get at least two of them mounted, so I went by Discount Tires on the way home. I had them mount the 20s and the 245/40 tires on the front. My stock 16" rims are on the rear.

Man those thin tires are hard to get used to. It looks like they are flat all the time. Of course the space between the tire and fender is now even larger. The stock tires stand 29" high, the 245/40s are about 28" high.

I think I will probably end up getting larger tires. I am thinking about 255/50 Nittos. They are about 30.5" tall (with sidewalls of about 5 1/4 inches tall).

I may lower the rear of my truck 2" to level it out. I doubt I will go much lower.

What is your plan?

well it looks like im getting 20s in a week but im not sure about tire size. i think ill try to get slightly larger tires because of the space between the tire and fender. im gonna be broke for a while so it may take a couple months before i lower. ill prob lower it either 2/4 or 3/5 which will fix the space problem

I'm getting 20x8.5 rims with 265/50/20 tires...That should fill up the fenders nicely...I just hope it doesn't rub.

GOt 20's

tsw slugger 20x9 i believe... running 275/45/20

stock height..only have about an inch between the tire and inner fender wall when turned all the way, so lowering it with my tire might be tricky, but at least the lil pot holes won;t dent the dubs

How bad does it rub, ??? only when u turn all the way??? over bumps???.... i really need to drop the truck, what did u use to lower it also...i was thinking 3/5 but i would have to get smaller tires, and im not sure i want to do that, i like my sidewalls now. so im prolly gonna do the 2/3

its only minimal rubbing and occurs when i hit big dips on freeways and such, i can turn all the way but its very very close, i lowered using springtech coils in the front, blocks in the rear, and belltech nitro drop shocks
