Is it possible to just relocate the springs on my 2000 3.9 to the top of the axle? the springs are located below the axle and I was just wondering... I think it would be about 2" or so.

also, do the coil spacers (the things you put between the coils and spread the coils apart) work? I just want about 1-1/2 - 2 max raise... any ideas? Nothing expensive

A "spring-over" in the rear will give you more like 3-4 inches. Adding a 1.5" add-a-leaf works great as well as 2" shackles. The coil spacers you are talking about are junk, at least from my experience. If you must do a spacer, go with the ones that rest on top of the coil. These will last longer and seem much safer.

Thats my 2 cents... ;-)

There are a few write-ups on how to install a 3" Fabtech lift and thats basically the same to add spacers (except without the a-arm removal). You need to seperate the balljoint assembly from the hub which will allow you to lower the bottom a-arm enough to pull the spring out. You might need a coil compressor to pull it out. Then place the spacer in the housing or on top on the coil, then reverse the process. This of-course is a basic rundown of what will need to be done.
