Ok...found a great place called TLC in Liberty Hills which is about 12 miles west of IH35 in Georgetown off route 29.
He charges $200 bucks per axel so that's only $400 bucks for front and rear. He actually suggests that you bring your own parts because you can find them cheaper and he has no problems installing someone elses gears. He warrantys the labor for 90 days.

I tried Austin Drive Train and there labor rate is $290 for the rear axel and $390 for the front axel plus they will only install their parts.
I also tried 4-wheel parts and there total labor rate was $1100 so that's a rip-off.
I just spoke with Tony this morning 3.29.2004 and I told him I'll be getting back with him shortly to schedule a time to get my truck done. 1-3 days max he said.
This is the best we are going to find in Austin area.
