Okay. First of all, I apologize for making you think I was talking about some almighty engine with unmeasurable amounts of ungodly power. But I am talking about the rinkadink 2.5L again. I'm doing a test to see how long it will take before somone smarts off with a V8's are better statement.
(No. Seriously though...)
I would like to get some low cost good amount of power into my truck through nitrous. I just would like to know what you all think would be a theoretical amount of umharming power to get out of the 2.5L mpfi engine. I already have an MSD 6AL ignition along with Accel Spiral Core Wires, Flowmaster high flow cat, and muffler, and a cold air intake. I would like to know how much power I could get out of the nitrous kit without quickly damaging my engine. I would use it rarely, but would like to show up the ricers that are slowely making their way into Payson AZ.

Check out some of the jeep pages and maybe turbocity. The jeep 2.5L is the same as the dakota 2.5L. There are performance parts out there. Even a supercharger. It'll take some searching though.

check some of the Chrysler FWD forums to
see what the 2.2L engines will take. Same
family...the turbos of an 80's Kcar will bolt up
to the 2.5L.

Sorry... not guite a ricer. I have about .7 more litres than most ricers that I know of. Not to mention that it is no an asian made vehicle. But I know that there are some other 2.5L owners out there that must have used some NOS. I'd like to hear from their experiences too. Hey Blinkman, Have you tried or seen the turbo bolted to the 2.5L? Are you talking abuot the same turbo as in the 80 Chargers? If so the manifolds look completely diferent, one is a FWD and the other RWD. So the engines sit differently. I already knew about the engine being the same as the Jeep, however, the cheepest tubo setup I've seen was $1500, and the Superchargers run for about $2500. That why I would like NOS. I don't need the power, all of the time, although it would be nice, if I could do it for cheap. My friend has a charger with a blown tranny, but good engine and turbo, if I could get that on ther it would be nice too. I just need some info on how to do that. Thanks for your help so far.
