 Subject: Fuel Lines

I am doing a 440ci swap into my 1990 X-Cab, replacing the 3.9 V6. I found just about everything I need, excpet for one thing I forgot. What do I do about the new fuel lines I am going to need? :-\

It's more than fuel lines. You also need a better fuel pump. The 3.9 pump just won't supply enough fuel for a 440.
For fuel lines, you need about 3/8", or AN -6. That should easily feed up to about 500 hp or so. If you're making more power than that, move up to 1/2" or AN -10. If you are using EFI, the return line should be the same size or one size smaller.
The in tank pump just won't cut it. You need to fabricate a pick up tube to replace the pump. For Fords they are easily available OTC; not sure about Dodges. An AN fitting for the output is the easiest way. If you have a steel tank, it's easiest to just weld a bung to the bottom rear of the tank; using the appropriate safety precautions of course. Some steel tanks have a drian plug. If it's big enough, you could use that.
Now run a short piece of line down to a 100 micron filter, then into an electric fuel pump mounted as close to the bottom of the tank as possible, and then to a 10 micron filter. From there you need a one way check valve, and then run the lines up to the engine.
It takes a little planning and a little fabrication, but it's not technically difficult. With the project you're doing, it should be one of the easier parts of the build.
