I have never run the synthetic oil in my Dakota's and was wondering if it was really a benefit or not? I had a 97 Dakota 4x4 ext cab - and ran regular oil in it - 108K when I traded it in for a new one, and never had any trouble with the truck - it was very dependable. I just bought a 4.7 ext cab 4x4 - 2004 model and was wondering about synthetic oil. What is the recommended distance between changes? What are the major advantages/disadvantages?

Anything that could be said has been said.
Search for Amsoil, Switching to Synthetic, Replacing A-L-L Fluids Synthetic, Dino to Synthetic, etc., etc.
