Message: Asking you guys about superchargers is like asking a camel about world trade policy. :idiot icon here:
Explain how you "wear" down a motor with a supercharger? or even nitrous? Dorks.
Try Amazon.com for some decent "hot rodding techniques" books.

Message: What is your problem, TurboGuy? “Wear down” is probably not the most technical term, but increasing power by any means, will increase the stress on many engine components. Of course, you actually have to use that power in order to add stress to the motor, but if you do, it will not last as long.
Personally, I think that this is just a part of cost of going fast. And I would not complain about it...
Now, you could question the competency level of some people (there are idiots on every board), but you didn’t use a very good example...

Message: if your worried about the damage you do to your vehical you proably dont have the most money to begin with so you want to put it to the best use. what helps you go faster and enjoy your vehical more while still maintaining your only ride that gets you back and forth to work so that you can afford every day living exspenses.
I am sure theres more than one person like myself that sees there modding experiances this way.
