rtspeeddemon ... remember me? ... red, club cab. We talked in the staging lanes.

I thought they were closing on the 2nd as well. The following Tues. I decided to take a peek at their web site and saw that they had decided to run t&t Nov.8/9! I don't think many knew :-) On the 8th, there only about 10 cars there and on the 9th maybe a dozen ... only 4 of us until about 1 p.m.!!! It was like renting the track for yourself for $30 CDN :-)

Weather permitting they're opening on the 15th/16th as well ... t&t ... 10 to 4 :-)

hey ticats- what kind of setup you running? I just got my heads done, M1 intake, and REALLY big cam. Haven't brought it to the track yet though. My truck's a reg cab 5 speed 3.92 LSD, custom exhaust (2.5" y pipe with cut out), 2 chamber single in dual out Flowmaster, MSD ignition, crank power pulley, 1.7 crower rr's, Edelbrock shorties, no cat. What ya think I should expect out of her? (oh yeah- custom Mike Leach flash)

dak318 ... hughes cam, beefed up valvetrain components, 1.6 roller rockers, M1 4-bbl intake, F&B Stage 1 tb, ram air box w 2 4" air ducts to the outside, MP PCM, diy ported heads via MP porting templates, 3000 stall converter, transgo kit, 4.56 SG, spring clamps, Rancho 9000X rear shocks, BFG drag radials, all synth., battery relocated, Gibson split rear cat-back.

If your Dak is a Gen III, it should be about 200-300 lb lighter, more if Gen II. Hard to say what your ETs would be but it should be quick :-) It really depends on how your mods complement each other. It doesn't take too much to move the torque and hp up the rpm when porting heads; same
goes with cam size. It'll also depend on how well you can hook up after the launch.

My hp peaks around 5800 rpms and curves are pretty flat and doesn't fall off right after peak rpm. My gears and tire size have me going through the quarter between 5600-5700 rpms so I'm set up for the 1/4 pretty well.

Good luck!!!

It's the Hughes 1418AL, .052/.544 lift w 1.6:1 ratio, 114* lobe separation, 214*/2.18* duration @ .050. I personally found that it's about the largest that you can go without vacuum being too low at idle.

yeah- my cam is only pulling about 8" at idle(it's alot bigger than your's), but it runs awesome! My pcm has learned to catch idle when I stop, also. It runs better by the day.
