I wouldn't mess with it, I've tried advancing my timing with my KRC206 and JP timing chain, I lost top end by advancing and if I tried to retard it any more it wouldn't crank over. So unless you are willing to crack the it open more than once, I wouldn't bother with it. Either change your cam, get a PCM to advance your timing. Stick with the factory alignment is your best bet.

My JP has notches that shows what degree it can be set at. If you align it right then move it to the degree you wanted then it should be ok. But a degree wheel would be your best bet on doing it once with full potential.

It's twice the gain of what 1.7 RR gave me.
Right now I'm running the stockers, I sold my MP 1.7 and might get some 1.7 from SouthWest R/T that are non-adjustable.

I'm waiting for oil pump & a Hypertech programer, I should be getting them any day now. I'll see if it will help my low end, right now it has good power from idle to 3000rpm then the power comes on like a Turbo surge right up to redline.

If my torque comes back with the Hypertech, I might get rid of my modded kegger and go back with my M1 2bbl agian.
