Does anyone know what brake rotors are best I heard different stories about the crossed drilled with cracking and the slotted with filling up with dust and if they get glazed they can't be turned because there will be no slot left after turning. And I seen the slotted with dimples heard nothing with these.

The powerslots work great--- don't worry about the hype-- The biggest killer to the brakes on your truck is bad adjustment front/rear... The guys that cook the front rotors are pretty much using the fronts only-- (me included).

I am on my second set of power slots (30k on the first set, 3 sets of stock rotors, now the powerslots again)-- $175 shipped to me-- I run the raybetos pads (NOT the ceramic ones)-- I get a lot of dust, but I'll go through 2 or more sets of pads before I cook the rotors-- It's also important to 'cure' the rotors during break in--- IE-- a few good stops at temp-- then let them cool off completely-- and do it again-- and cool, etc... After 2-3 cycles of this, the rotors are less appt to give you the 'warped' feel.

Won't doing this graze over the pads? Isn't it best to take it easy on the pads for the first 500 miles? Also, I put new pads up front about 10000 miles ago and they have squeaked from almost day one. I was really easy on them to prevent glazing. What can I do next time. I need to get new rotors soon because the ones I have got warped. How can I keep the pads from squeaking?

Thanks
