Subject: MP1 Manifold with Supercharger ??
IP: Logged

Message:
Hello all,

I have a 02 Dakota R/T. Plans are to run a Kenne Bell SC this spring. I wanted to start putting some other parts together so I can install them all at the same time.

Is it worth running the MP1 manifold with the supercharger? Kenne Bell tech says absolutely not. Any thoughts on this?

I am also planning on installing the crower 1.7 rollers rockers and maybe a F&B 52mm TB?

Any input would be great. Thanks

Kenne Bell superchargers have most of their power off the line. If you install an M1 you will lose low end and gain at the top where the Kenne Bell can't go anymore. You would be better off going with a Vortech T-Trim or Paxton NOVI blower. These blowers create boost as the engine revs and the M1 would compliment that. you will have problems with KB if you put high clearence valve covers too, not shure if 1.7 rockers need more clearance or not

I am doing this setup right now, Don't waste your $$$ on the M1 with the KB, it won't do anything. With the positive displacement SC the intake won't do much unless you are going to run it up above 6000 rpm. I would advise a set of 19 lb FMS injectors (the KB comes with 2 aux 58lb so you won't need any bigger ones) 1.7 rockers (or a cam depending on smog laws) I am going pretty wild on my setup (not going to use the OPT II at all) so if you have any ? feel free to email me, I will let you know what I am using for tuning etc.

instead of the 19lb injectors, you might want to look at the 21lb ones.
