Hell yes its been done. I did it about three years ago. I have a '90 regular cab short bed and i hated that puny 3.9 so I came across a new R/T that was totalled and jammed the innards in. It took a lot of work to make it fit. I put the engine/ trans in in one piece and then put the doghouse together around it. I had to build custom engine mounts and do a little adjusting to the firewall but it fits and I drive the truck daily. I swapped everything down to the interior and electronics and gas tanks and wheels/tires. And yes I have beaten camaros, firebirds, mustangs, etc. Any questions? email me.
