Isnt extrude honing where they push an abrasive clay like substance to scrape the walls of something (inatke runners , head ports) to open it up and smooth it out ? How much pressure is used ?

Yeah, that's what it is. I don't know much about it, but, I think the pressure used can vary anywhere from around 100 to 2000psi (depending on the application). I think it costs around 500 $$'s. Supposedly, you can get pretty good gains from it (about 20hp?). It can also be pretty risky. You could damage your manifold in the process. If you are considering it, do plenty of research first.

If it's done by a shop who knows what they are doing, it's doubtful they will destory your heads.
Extrude honing is really neat, first used in aerospace applications. Perfectly safe.
It's a very all out racing modification. If you don't have other things to back it up, it probably wont do much better than a good porting job. Money might be better spent port and polishing it yourself.
Then again, you might be getting an entirely new vavletrain. SWEET!
