Subject: What is up with those Delaware Trucks?

Just spent the past w/e in Georgetown Delaware, attending the Nascar Winston Cup race at Dover(Dodge did pretty bad!)

What is up with the exhaust systems on those Delaware trucks? Anyone from Delaware?

You think you're hearing a 60's era muscle car driving by but no, it's a pickup truck, all models, all years...every single one of them had a great sounding exhaust!

Makes my 2001 DAK's SUV 50 Series Flowmaster catback exhaust with dual 2 1/2 pipes dumping into 4 inch tips, sound like sh*t.

What are these boys doing to their exhaust?

As someone who was born and raised in DE I can say that it is a pain to get anyone to put a "loud" exaust on a truck. DE is fairly strict about emissions laws and they will shut you down if your illegal. Pretty much you have to pass the sniffer test and it can get pretty noisy going through the inspection lanes if your too loud. On the other hand if your truck is tagged as a farm truck you are exempt and can do whatever you want. THat's how I saw alot of people get around having an exaust system.

Yep, I could believe those boys were driving farm exempt exhaust driven trucks!

Bet alot of fiberglass is being blown out on Rt 1 and Rt 13 of Deleware.

I do take back saying my truck sounds like sh*t when starting her up and cruising with her...after not being in it for 2 weeks and having a go at her...still sounds like music to my ears (even if I'm driving it in the pouring rain on a dirt road...can still get on it!)

MACE also in Delaware if you buy a brand new vehicle you can get a 5 year tag. And that means 5 years before you have to go and have your truck inspected by the state. I was at the Dover race on Sunday driving the #41 Jimmy Spencer Army HUMVEE in the pre-race show. It was so cool driving on the track that day.
