Message: What usually goes first on our transmissions? The valve body, clutches, or what? I am considering putting on a deep pan and Transgo kit, as well as replace the pressure sensor and synthetic fluid, but I don't want to spend this money, if something is screwed up. My truck sometimes shifts weird from 1st-2nd under light throttle. It used to hit the rev limiter between 1-2 at wot, but a tv cable adjustment fixed that. Now it shifts, and then acts like it shifted again under light throttle. Does anyone know what this is? Medium and full throttle shifts seem fine. Is my trans. on its way out, or does it have plenty of life left? I have 29,000 miles.

TV cable didn't fully fix your problem, now that it shifts due to adjusting the cable, it now causes it to shift early or lag between gears. I bet your hitting 3rd gear before 15mph at light throttle. I re-adjusted my TV for good normal driving this way I don't burn up my clutches, down side is the 1st to 2nd not shifting at WOT.
I have a few issues to fix while I'm there, door will not unlock if I only hit the keyless remote once, it require two hits maybe three sometimes. Also have this pop or clunk sound while accelerating over bumbs somewhere in the rear of the truck, only occurs under throttle.
Good news is, I just bought me 2.02 R/T heads, 210/220 512/512 112 Cam, lifters and gaskets. Hope to get 14.0 or into 13's N/A here at 1300'
