Message: From what I've heard around here they all perform about the same. Go with the one that sounds the best for you. stay with 2.5" exhaust or you lose to much back pressure and lose some torque.

Message: I've got Flowmaster on my '97 3.9 and it sounds sweeeeet... my cat. converter had been rattling because it was broke since the day i got my exhaust and then i got it replaced and the exhaust doesn't sound as sweeeeeet anymore.
Moral: flowmaster sounds better with no cat. or with broken cat.(that is if you don't mind the rattling of the cat.)

Message: I've got a '95 with the 3.9 and I went with a Dynomax 2.5" Cat back system. I like it because It opened things up a bit, and the sound is just a bit lower, but not really louder. Then when I put a high flow catalytic converter on, it just got louder. I'm sure there's not much difference in the performance of the different exhausts for the v6. I'd suggest going with the one that looks the best to you, and has the best value/warranty.

Message: Along the same lines,
A friend of mine owns a exhaust shop so I can get any thing done I want. I am thinking about getting a KAT box, hollowing out all three cat's but don't know what to do about the muffler (Use the Stock, GlassPack, Flowmaster, etc ?). I have a 4x4 which does see off-road use but never has (or probaly ever will) see the track. I don't do much street light racing, and there is no emissions testing where I live (visual/auditory inspections only).
What would you guys recommend for my situation.

Message: Flowmaster all the way. Had it installed on my 1990 Dak. 3.9L. Runs good and sounds nice. Have had no problems what so ever. Very Pleased!!!!! About the cat conv., my stock one is practically welded to the frame due to being there for 11 years. Want to remove it. Any comments. I have been told the easiest thing to do would be to cut it open, gut it out, and weld it shut again. Still looks as if it were there but it hinders exhaust flow none. All comments are welcome! Thanks.
