If you're like me and want Dodge to win than relax. All you need to do is convince Dodge to produce their concept the 2002 Ram SRT-10. Then the Lightning would get its little ass beaten. You're talking comparing three-hundred some odd horses to 500. Yeah the SRT may have two more cylinders, but the Lightning has a supercharger. At least with this you couldn't argue about the size of the truck.

I went to the Chicago show on Friday and The SRT10
will be produced but with minor adjustments to the
actual prodution model. Its a new line dodge is
making they have the srt4 which is a neon, the
SRT10 viper is already beaing produced and now the
ram is coming out. I am very excited to see it on
the street but hope it wont be as much as the
viper, since it has the viper engine, brakes and
other parts. It also has 24 inch rims but that
might of been just for show.

Black 2000 R/T
you'll have to race me to figure out

Nice thing about the Ram SRT/10 is at least the Chassis is a massproduced item which in theory will bring the price down.

Obsatcles to economy will be that in order to get the SRT/10 package you'll probably have to get all the premium interior equipment too, AC, PW, cruise, deluxe stereo and overhead console, tilt leather wrapped wheel. I don't want all that I just want to go fast.

How about a Ram ACR/10. Heh heh heeee!

Hello i havent been here in a while, some of you might remember me, i would always ask questions about the r/t and the lightning. And i had a ram air, well i got rid of it and bought a 2001 r/t its black with silver lettering, i couldnt have the red i didnt like it. But i would have to say im pretty disapointed in it. My brother has a 2000 chevy silverado with the big v-8 shortbed and i slowly beat him on the strip, i let the truck shift its self i dont manually shift it, i dont know when to but if you guys do let me no when to shift it. My cousin has a 2002 midnight blue lightning its pretty bad, he eats me up on the strip, but when we run back roads, he falls behind right out my mirrors. But i was wondering if i do that cause of the drivers, or does the r/t have better handling? And i also have raced my friend who has a 2001 camaro ss he can beat me of the line with ease, but if we run around 50mph he has problems pulling away, and he also fades away on the back roads, but i also want to know i got this cold air intake system which supposly gives me 20% which only gives me about 2% i was wondering if you guys know how to get more out of it some how and whats the cheapest way to fix my truck up. thanks

I read in a truck magazine that the base price for the Ram SRT-10 is $50,000. considering that every other ram costs at least $10,000 less than that, is it really woth it. I mean, can't you just buy a 4.7 or 5.9 Ram and boost the hp up to 500 for a lot less?

its a viper engine that makes it so expensive. you have to remember that the SRT-10's sole pupose is to totally demolish the lightning. if you do your homework, dodge has been making muscle trucks for 50 years with the release of "big red." if i could spare the 50,000 (or if i had it) i would be the first in line. it's the next best thing to every dodge drivers wet dream, owning a viper.
by the way if you drive anything other than a dak, get the f**k off this site.

According to one published report, the RT does 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. As far as this ongoing discussion on the RT vs. the Lightning, for the difference in the price of the two just add supercharger and intercooler to the RT and lets see who is faster.

Accruding all sources of information that I've read or heard, the SRT-10 Ram shouldnt be too far off from 40 thousand give or take... You guys forget its not just about beating the Lightening in the 1/4 mile, there is also certain ammount of economics involved as well... If the truck cost over or close to 50 thousand why not buy a Z06? Or save some cash and buy a lightening and put a few thousand into it?

See what im getting at?

If the Ram ends up around 50 thousand, I'd be surprised... and if it does end up around that much, lol, give me my R/T and 30 thousand to spend on it any day Viper engine or not.
