Message: From what Larry has said, I believe the Jet chip only changes readings going into your pcm, which then learn those changes and adjust over time. The superchip on the other hand is a great buy, and I have one. The superchip actually changes the program in the PCM and stores the old stock one on the device (hence why it doesnt have to stay connected like silly Jet chip). So if you put on both, your engine would be receiving altered Jet chip readings and putting that through the Superchips tables.....will it work, yes. Will it make it better...probably not, and if it did only temporarily. Superchips alone is the best choice.

Message: Correction: Larry says that it does not learn over time, and does show an improvement in milage and power. That guy has so much knowledge, the gain in mpg was probably from something else, haha!
I believe the Superchips is still much better since the Jet Chip just alters the information being sent to the computer. Maybe I favor Superchips since they are so close to me too...

Message: also, the diagnostics/ code reading & resetting of the Superchips would make me coose it over the Jet any day.

Message: How could a PCM NOT learn around changing the simple things a JET module does?
I assume a JET module just alters the sensor inputs, MAP, IAT, etc to trick the PCM. I don't even see how that gets any more power in the first place, but as a PCM adjusts it's fuel and spark tables in memory based on feedback from the O2 sensnor, knock sensors, etc I would think the Jet wouldn't amount to anything.
That's just my thinking on that but who knows.
The SuperChips actually writes to the PCM's EEPROM. I couldn't tell a HUGE difference on my butt dyno, but the limiter increases, tire size correction, and OBDII diagnostics makes it worth it's weight in the cost!
