Message: The stock V8 TB is not 52mm. It is 50mm but has a torque step that necks down the bore to 48 or so. I think a 52mm is too much for a V6.
You can clean up the V6 TB the same as a V8 - rounding out the bores and removing the stonehenge blocks on top.

Message: Have a mild 93 3.9 (16.1-1/4 mile). Ran same day with a 3.9 (42mm) and a V8 TB same day, under similar weather conditions. No difference in RT, V8 TB was quicker from 60 feet on. V8 TB is cheap and easy, with no down side.
