I put the new injectors in today. It took about an hour even with giving the rails a quick blast of paint to protect them a bit. The new injectors seem a bit shorter, but I didn't place them side by side. I was a bit worried at first that they were going to pull out of their intake port, but after pressurizing the fuel system things were ok. No leaks. I took the truck for a drive with the family to do some early fall hiking and stops for ice cream and the like. We put on about 100 miles. I had reset the computer before the trip just to speed its learning process. There isn't any huge performance gains, which I expected. The one thing I did notice was a decent improvement in mileage. I have a trip computer and left it in the mode where it shows the mileage realtime. I was seeing numbers I had never seen before! I was very pleased about that. Prior to this, the highest mpg I had ever seen was 17. That was on a long trip on the expressway. This time, we were on country highways with lots of hills and stop signs in little towns, not to mention the stops we made at the different places with the kids. My average over the trip was 16.3 mpg! I was also seeing 20-22 mpg on flat roads at steady throttle.
Overall, I'm really happy about that aspect of it. They were easy to install, and I noticed immediate mileage gains. I guess that's the difference between the stock single nozzle and the 4 nozzle ones I picked up. Better atomization and fuel economy. I'm sure my MSD ignition helps along with the other things I've changed, but it's great to finally have normal fuel mileage.
Any other questions, let me know.
HTH!
Mark

You should have noticed a slight gain at the least in performance especially since you even went to a little higher fuel flow... Even stock injector settings will show gains in the 3000+ range... It's probably just because you reset the computer and it's still relearning everything... I'd say give it atleast a good 300 miles to maybe even 500 to really get it fine tuned then you should notice the extra power... Of course the tuner that I understand you have on the way will probably help the most with everything that you've done and really get those injectors tuned in just right :)) Thanks for posting your after words experiances...
