OK i have a 1990 dodge dakota 3.9 V6 and i custom made a dual cone air filter for this year i wanted to know what everyone thought i dont have a pic yet i need to get my friends camara 1st , umm if u like email me at Andy5053@aol.com and just to ad one more thing my truck runs really nice with this intake i made my engin pulls in alot more cold air.

Did you put a heat shield on it, or does it just sit out in the open right above the engine?

yes i put a heat sheild alil one under cone it does wrap al the way around the cone just one the engin side of the fliter
