Can't say for sure, may have had it made custom but I'm guessing it's Truckin Suspension ... dunno where the 5" came from ... if it's theirs it's gotta be 4.5 or 6" ... and those 35's look MIGHTY TIGHT in the wheelwell. Hope he doesn't hit a dip in the road while turning the wheels ... hehehe

I'm beginning to think that, short of a straight axle conversion, suspension lifts for Daks are not all that cost effective. As Knobbyman has said before ... you don't gain much bang for the buck.

May have to save my Dak for hauling and buy something else to really lift.

Good luck!

I don't know about this one...it's kinda fishy...

First, it says he has 4.11 gears, but to my understanding, only 3.55 and 3.92 are available in the new 8" corporate front axle.

And did you see that front end! Talk about down in the weeds! His rear looked almost 3 inches higher! The 35's look like the rub like mad in the front...some one tell the guy to crank his torsion bars a bit!

It would be great to see a Dakota lifted with the AIM lift cause that would mean that AIM might have fixed all the problems after our great Knobbyman had to screw with them for so long.

As far as the itself lift goes...it's probably a 4.5" lift and they are just calling it a 5"...

OR

PERHAPS when the magazine says new, it doesn't mean NEW, but new, like he just bought it, and that would acount for the 4.11 gears, cause then it would be the older Dakota that was pre-RP steering with the Dana 35, which you can get 4.11 gears for.

I don't know though...got to find the guy some how and talk to him a little. nyone from Hawaii that wants to track him down? : )

Can't be an older dakota since it was a quad cab. 2000 and newer only.

There was another thread about this. Yes, a few details seem a bit out of place but from what I hear, there is a company in Hawaii that does a modification on an already existing lift for earlier dakotas. Only in Hawaii, I guess. Looks very nice but again, a few details don't seem to line up.

I think that's beyond a torsion bar crank ... lol ... but, yes, it may help a little!
