Hey, all! I've got a question for those of you that have had your spray-on bedliners for a few years. How have thy been holding-up? Do they become slick and lose their texture after a few years of abuse? I've got friends that have them, but they're all still relatively new. Just wondering since right now I have a 1998 Dak Sport with the hard molded-plastic from the factory and it's too slick for me...works great for unloading heavy stuff since you can just slide it off, but it drives my dog nuts when I throw her in the back. Been thinking about getting rid of the liner for a spray-on or a rubber bed mat. Looking to get rid of my molded liner if anybody's interested...cheap, southern Georgia.

Thanks for the feedback in advance!

I'm gonna get some pics of what the damned drop-in did to the bed of my truck. That should answer your question about keeping one of those crappy things!
Even if it DOES become slick after a few years, I'd still consider it money well spent, and I could always see if they can do a "deal" to have a fresh coat applied.

since I gotta repair the paint damage anyway, I might as well go the spray-in route and protect this investment.

I've had my bed liner since 99' and it still looks the same as the day I got my truck. It was already in my truck when I got it so I don't know old it was before that, but for the last 4 years, it's been doing great. I've moved many times filling the bed up with misc. stuff. I've hauled gravel, huge rocks, steel pipes, took a shovel to it a few times, still looks great. Worth the money. I have a Line-X, but my budy has a rhino-liner that has been in for a year or so. Seems a little more rubbery. Mines not as sticky, but I've never had a problem of stuff sliding around in my bed.

What were the costs of your Line-X vs. your buddy's Rhino-Liner?

Go with Line-X,
I've had mine for 18 months now, and it's holding up just fine. Line-X is a little stronger than Rhino, but Rhino will grip a little better, on the down side, Rhino is sprayed on thicker, causing it to run more, which causes the bottom, and corners to be thicker than the top. Line-X is sprayed on hot and bonds almost instantly which makes for a much more consistent look.

here are some pics of my over the rail.... I paid $440 U.S. but I have heard cheaper prices.

My liner was in my truck when I bought it and my friends liner was put in when he bought the truck from the dealer. No cost information, but it's worth it. If you do get it, do your self a favor and get it over the top of the bed rails. Many times am I thankful that mine had it on top of the rails do the the fact that I've had to slide things in over the sides. It's a little more to get it done, might seem a little to much more, but it is worth it. My rails would be torn to crap if I didn't have it on there. My Line-X looks a little more solid the my friends Rhino-liner... doesn't mean it doesn't work as well. My friends a pretty boy and I doubt he'll ever take a shovel to the bed of his truck, but I have many times and you wouldn't ever notice. Except for a little fading from the sun... maybe a little, maybe not, still looks good. Also Line-X has a lifetime warrenty if anything should happen. Doubt it will though.
Don't know much about the proccess of installation but my lin
