Does anybody have any legitimate gripes with Speedtweaks LLC? If you do I would like to here about them. I think that Bernard and Tom would like to here about them also.
I don't want to here from CONCERNED, I want to here from people that are not afraid to post their real names. I'm CONCERNED also, but I’m Yates-in-DE. I have not had any problems with them myself, and have had every e-mail, and phone call answered by either Tom or Bernard. All parts I've ordered have arrived to me generally faster than any vendor I have ordered from.
I plan on getting them to build a turbo for my truck sometimes in late Dec or Jan, and posts by anonymous names will not deter that. Now with that said, any legitimate gripes will be taken into consideration.

Thanks All and Later,

MyVW Killer

I decided to give them a chance and ordered some plug wires from them. I placed the order September 10 and had my paypal account was charged the same day. My last email from Bernd was sept 25 stating the wires were back ordered and were to be shipped soon and that I would have them no later than sept 30. Well, one month after my last email from Bernd, still no wires. All emails since then have been ignored.

Did anyone E-mail Bruce to see if that was really him that was making that accusation? I knew they had dropped flowmetrics TBs but I didn't think that it was due to no payment.

Unfortunately I've never had one E-mail answered by any member of Speedtweaks, nor one phone call answered or returned. I've never done business with them due to those reasons. KRC Performance has returned all my phone calls and all my E-mails, so I tend to purchase stuff from them (if I don't have a hook up around where I live). I hate to even think this, but the rumors may be right. If so, we've lost another valuable small business for our aftermarket performance.

you know all i can say now is that i have had great service from them... My throttle body broke and bernd shipped one to me over night after hours so i could make a dyno pull. bernd has helped me on the phone all the time. When i was down there he worked with my tranny for an hour and charged me nothing. Which is how i figured the rear tailshaft sensor was bad.

I sent them an e-mail last week with an inquiry about a part I'm interested in purchasing and I've still not received a response. I like the guys, but it's frustrating. I'd like to give them my business, but sometimes the lack of a timely response forces me to go elsewhere.

Bernd and I struck up a trade deal for an APS TB.
I sent him my TB the end of June.
After all this time I'm still waiting for my APS TB!

I understand problems arise--that's life! And I do think orders should come first--people have to keep bread on the table.
After hearing praise from members here I figured no way would Bernd rip me off, but, I'm still waiting!

I would have liked to order quite a few parts from Speedtweaks, but, at this point I don't think so.

Yea. I gave them a second chance after my refund was delayed for over a month ($450). I did inturn immediately buy the Stillen cross-drilled rotors from him($350). I also purchased the IAT adjuster and I bought the O2 sensors from him last month after my homade job failed to last.

Oh and note to KRC--- I would have bought your O2Simms but nobody answered the phone! I called you first. And believe it or not, Bernrd answered his that same day!

It is just a case of him being in over his head. He is not the first "tuner" from Texas to get in too far!!

Shame he didn't have proper mangement.......

Now my words of advice.

I have bought and sold many times over the Internet and here is my good vendor list:

Summit Racing, Intense Performance, John Mercedes, MBRP, Mike Leech Co., Hotchkis, KRC.

My neutral opinion - Worldwide Performance

My bad vedor list (Avoid Like the Plauge!)
Pentstar Reproductions,
RJ in New Hampshire (old Mopar muscle car parts)

I had nothing but total professional service from my good list. The absolute best hands down shipper is Summit. Lightning fast. I live about 200 miles from them and I can order and have every order within 48hrs at my doorstep! You just cant beat that.....

Same problems here. Ordered wires, sticker, cap & rotor, and plugs Sep 3. Paypal was charged the next day (ordered late in the afternoon). It's now Oct 25 and no parts. I've sent an e-mail to inquire about the part status with no reply. I've also sent an e-mail about purchasing an IAT adjuster since there is no link on the site to purchase it, with no reply. I'm really trying to be patient because people that have parts for us are rare (unless you are willing to sort through tons of chebby stuff). I'd really like to see them stay around, but they need to do something about thier turnaround time.

Just a note to update my Speedtweaks situation. Bernd finally emailed me back last friday about my order. He told me the order had shipped and would arrive today. Came home from work today and it was sitting on the porch as promised.

I've got no hard feelings over what happened to me.. in january i ordered alot of stuff. the 4" z-tube was one of them. (was in the middle east at the time) my girlfriend said my intake had arrived (she didn't know i ordered a TB and an intake and mistook the TB for the intake) i called and emailed when i got back and it took another 2 months to get a refund over it since there was no way to get a 4" z-tube cause they were out of production. i'm not bitter or mad. stuff happens.. i'm sure it was paypal screwing the pooch and not emailing them, but damn. i dont think i'll be doing any more business with them til things are straightened out there.
