Is there a 4X4 light that goes on when u r in 4 wheel. I have a 01 CC just wondering my buddy has one on his older dakota. Seein if they stopped putting them in the new trucks.

I have the switch on the dash and there is a light for 2Hi, 4Hi, and 4Lo... 2Hi is green I do believe and 4Hi is orange... I've only used 4Lo twice now and I believe it may be red... but don't quote me on that...

The only thing that lights up on my 01 CC is the dial lights, nothing on the guages.

Rocco I have "4x4" light on my dash when I shift into 4 hi or 4 lo. Actually my light just burned out last week , the 4 wheel drive still works though.The light is in the bottom centre of the dash.

huh? never noticed a light before, but usually when I use 4wd I'm pulling trees out or I'm in some nasty moss and pulling my boat out of the water requires 4x4, and I'm usually too busy concentrating on my mirrors, or hand signals, as long as I know it's in 4wd that's all I care about. I'll have to check it out next time
