not yet. i have the 4.7L in a durango. what i have done is gone to non resistor plugs : autolite AR3911. they cross to champion C61YC; NGK R5672A-8; Bosch W3D ; Accel 0763. the plugs are in a cavity inside the head, surrounded by grounded metal(the head). EMI/RFI is not an issue. noise is from alternator. I'm also running a gap of .055". when i hear some positive results about the stacker, i'll install and run the gaps at .065". pass on to all you know with the 4.7L, at least run the non resistor plugs. i noticed a difference. i'm also running with JBA headers, flowmaster after cat exhaust, AIRAID intake system with a S&B 6" cone(much better than K&N), and i got rid of that piece of crap fan/fan clutch assy., and installed a black magic electric fan with a 160 degree thermostat. big difference in low end to mid range accelaration. my 4.7L flat hauls ass, and still gets good milage when i keep it under 65, or don't do alot of hard accelerations. sometimes difficult to resist. bottom line : non resistor plugs, electric fan and lower thermostat.
hold on!

Wow I had completely forgotten about this thread. Thanks for responding though.

I've already got a few things sorted out on my truck. I'm waiting on socaldakotos.com to offer a Viper electric fan kit like they just started doing for the 5.9L's. Hopefully one will be on the way soon.

What is EMI/RFI? Why a non-resister plug and not just a colder plug? What are the benefits? I've already got a 180t-stat and i'm fine with that. I'm also already running the colder NGK plugs. I've been pretty satisfied with them so far.

Exhaust and intake are taken care of for now but I'm going to be making some changes so my setup here soon. I'm currently running a 4" z-tube and 70mm BBK TB as well as a 2.5" Carsound cat and 2.5" Magnaflow sinle in/out.

My new plans include:
'03 or '04 Inake manifold
HO cams (unless someone come up with something better and as affordable)
Relocating the IAT sensor to the intake.

And down the road:
Custom y-pipe 2.25" to 3" instead of the 1.75" to 2.5".
3" Carsound Cat
3" Mandrel bent piping
3" Magnaflow.
And the viper fan when its available for the 4.7L.
