I need to put new tires on my Dakota and would like to put bigger tires then the 31x10.5 on it now. Does anybody know if the 32x11.5 will fit? I don't want to install a lift kit just looking to fill the wheel wells without rubbing. Any thoughts?

Just curious, Assuming the 31X10.5 worked ok, how must lift did you get with them? And how much gain will the extra 1" add (31X10.5 vs 32X11.5)? My stock tires are 255/65 16s.(29") Are you considering selling the old rims and tires?

If you have the factory wheels (7" or 8"), and have a 4x4, 32x11.50's will fit. You may have slight rubbing on the frame at full lock, but nothing major. You can make steering stops to prevent this if it happens. I had 32x11.50 BFG's on a '99 with the factory 8" wheel, and had this rubbing problem. I had the same wheel/ tire on '00 with no rub. So I guess it just depends. This size tire looks great, and should work just fine. Hope this helps.

I guess I should be more specific. I have a 98 Dakota 4x4 CC with the 5.2 V8. I have the factory wheels that come with the 31x10.5 tires. No, I am not interested in selling them, I just want to put bigger tires on without rubbing. Thanks for the info Troy.

Lou,
If your truck came with 31x10.50's from the factory, you have the 15"x8" wheels. You should have no problems with 32x11.50's other than the slight rub I referred too. It is very slight, and only happens at full lock. If you don't want to deal with this rubbing, I would recommend staying with a 31-inch tire, in either 10.50 or 11.50 width. My .02 cents.

For anyone here I jsut put soem 33 mud terrains on my STOCK 2000 dakota 4x4. it has the heavy duty frotn suspension ( window sticker option) and the only place they rub is the fornt lower air dam corner. I jsut trimmed it. otherwise unless you do a complete full tight turn they dotn rub. and I use my truck off road and it looked great. I went back to the 31s, but the gas mielage doesnt seem any different. i did notice a slight power loss at take off
