"Dale Earnhardt, the seven-time NASCAR Winston Cup champion, died following a last-lap crash at the Daytona 500. "
There may have been some of us that did not like him in the racing scene and others who wanted to be like him...he was a legend during his life and now will forever be a legend in Nascar. My heart goes out to his family for their loss and pray that he may rest in peace.
Dale Earnhart, "The Intimidator"...you will be missed. :(

Dale Earnhart was one of the greatest racer's ever to have lived and it is said that you either loved him or hated him. For me he was not my favorite, but on the other hand he was one of my favorite's to watch because he gave the races such great competition. He is a true legend and will be greatly missed.

I agree with you all. Like him or not there is no doubt he was one of the greatest drivers in Nascar.

I remember watching TV when they interviewed him before the race, he was lying back in a lawn chair with his hands behind his neck and really was calm. Who would of thought that he would of died on the last turn of the last lap. And that it would of been all his cars crossing the finsh line 1-2-3. One of the pit crew members was from my town, the local news casts talked to him. He talked about how before the race he was joking with Earnhart about the car he was running in Daytona and how it wasen't the best they had. Earnhart joked that he had a faster one in the trailer. God Bless Earnhart, he brought NASCAR to what it is today.

Dale was an amazing driver. Not many drivers can pull the things he did off. I am very sorry for his death. May God be with his family always.

he was the dirtiest sob in racing and finally got what he gave others. besides wtf do you care that was more then 3 years ago. any intelligent fool would have gave up a long time ago from bringing a gas pedel jockey back from the dead.

I watching the movie called 3 tonight. It really mad me remember old Dale Earhart.It was sad to see the preview over how Dale really died in that Nascar crash. I can't wait to get it on DVDor VHS whatever its coming on.It comes out Tuesday.

he was so popular amoung the regulars on this site that exactly 6, thats right 6 bothered to post something the year of his death. then it was a full 2 years 8 months before some crack dragged up the thread and posted her comments about it. seams like a reeeaaalllllyyyy popular guy, he said, dripping with sarcasm. The truth of the matter is, so few commented as most of us are smart enough to see that he was the dirtiest driver ever to drive on NASCAR ans it took a whole lot of years before his dirt crawled back into bed with him. He took out Earnie Ervin at Michigan and injured him so bad he never will be "right" again. That was the most well known guy at the time but there are more then a few that Dale the Dork ran off the track and ruined them for life. There are more then a few that accuse him of actually killing at least one guy in a practice session and another durring a race, So good riddance and stay in Hell.

i beleive dale was a dirty driver, i saw races back in 1988 when he would bump the heck out of bill elliot on purpose just because he didnt have the speed to pass him. i dont like to see anyone die but mayby old dale just pushed his luck?
