 Subject: low idle

I have 96 dakota 3.9 that seem's to overload on fuel at start-up.I have to feather it to keep it running and it will stall sometime's at light's. Though when it does stay running it will idle at 400-500 and my gas mileage is all over the board. Thank's for your help

Is the engine light on?
Could be alot of things causing this, Injectors, O2,
dirty IAC, Fuel pressure, EGR, etc. etc. etc.
