Oil over $70 a Barrel ... Gasoline at $3.00 a Gallon (and going higher) ...
We all want to increase our MPG.
Synthetic Motor Oils and Lubricants = Increased Fuel Efficiency (better MPG).
Synthetic Motor Oils and Lubricants are made from pure chemicals with molecular uniformity - usually natural gas - and not refined crude oil which has hundreds of differently shaped molecules.
Because of the synthetic lubricants molecular uniformity, ... they excel in reducing friction which improves fuel efficiency, controling heat and reduceing wear.
It has been proven by Amsoil (and other leading oil manufacturers and suppliers) through use of industry accepted fuel economy tests, field demonstrations (and as witnessed by most of our customers), that switching to synthetic oils and lubricants can (and does) improve fuel economy (mpg).
Amsoil Synthetic Motor Oils reduce friction and drag better than petroleum oils, resulting in significant fuel economy increases. In a 1.2 million mile demonstration, AMSOIL Lubricants showed a 4.5% increase in gas mileage. Other tests have shown increases of as much as 15% under certain weather and driving conditions. Yet, because every vehicle is different, as are driving habits and conditions, it is difficult to accurately project an exact increase.
Since AMSOIL synthetic motor oils create less friction, they help reduce fuel consumption, increasing a vehicle's fuel economy significantly. Operating with AMSOIL, the engine doesn't have to work as hard to turn the wheels, so it takes less fuel to run.
Really simple isn't it ... with synthetic lubricants (vs conventional crude oil lubricants) the engine doesn't have to work as hard to turn the wheels, so it burns less fuel = BETTER MPG!
SPECIAL NOTE: Depending upon your driving habits, conditions, and climate ... switching viscosities can improve fuel economy also. I've observed a MPG increase when switching grades (5w-30 compared to 10w-40).

I have my own results to share with everyone.
My last two vehicles have been Lexus RX's with the onboard computer. On each, I used Castrol for the first 5k +/- miles. I recorded (on the vehicles's computer - not in my head) 16.8 MPG average. I switched to Amsoil and for the next 25k+ miles, my mileage was recorded at 18.6 MPG average - a 10.7% increase in MPG - a combination of city and highway - driving the same commute for all 30k+ miles.
I've even gotten close to 24 MPG on the highway - which is what the window sticker told me I should expect. Is anyone getting anywhere near what your window sticker stated you should expect on the highway?

Amsoil 5w-30 Synthetic Oil is approximately $5.25 - $5.50 per quart ...
but ... you extend oil change intervals and actually save money.

Warranty Coverage
Vehicle manufacturers recommend using motor oils meeting certain grades and American Petroleum Institute (API) service requirements. Whether the motor oil is petroleum based or synthetic will NOT affect warranty coverage. The manufacturer is required to cover all equipment failures it would normally cover as long as the oil meets the requirements and was not the cause of the failure.

AMSOIL exceeds American Petroleum Institute (API) service requirements and has never been deemed the cause of an engines failure. Even so, AMSOIL has its own limited warranty, protecting you even further. In addition, the federally mandated Magnuson-Moss Act states that a manufacturer may not require the use of a specific brand of aftermarket product unless it is provided free of charge.
* If a car dealership, service center or other business states that using AMSOIL will void your new vehicle warranty, ask for that statement in writing and send it to AMSOIL Technical Services (AMSOIl Inc., AMSOIL Bldg, Superior, WI 54880). If the business won't provide the statement in writing send AMSOIL Technical Services a letter identifying who made the statement, the name and location of the business and what the specific statement was. AMSOIL will then send a letter to the business informing them that their position is inaccurate, and, in fact violates existing law. Your name will be held in strict confidence. A sample of this letter can be provided upon request.
Amsoil's Limited Warranty is in effect when Amsoil Products are used in mechanically sound engines, providing, of course the oil is kept free of contaminants by changing the oil filter according to the manufacturer's recommendation or, when using an AMSOIL Filter, changing the filter based upon Amsoil's oil and filter change recommendations.
Additionally, if there is ever a question of whether or not a particular oil was the cause of an engine failure make sure to get a sample of the used oil in a clean bottle, typically 6 oz. minimum. The oil can then be sent to two independent testing labs for analysis (labs are located throughout the country).

LOL! I can't believe how people love to stir up trouble for the Amsoil guy when he posts somthing like this.
And once again Steve retorts with ease simply Educating the guy.
I have to say, you would be surprised how many people (mostly my wifes brother and some relatives) who don't believe I am changing the oil filter at 7,500 miles and oil at 15,000 miles!
And when I explain WHY I can do this, the very next thing is they say I'm voiding the warranty!
I keep records, marking it in the service book.
I even show the fools that the 3,000 mile interval (using Dino oil) is for SEVERE driving and that you can actually go a little longer with the basic oil. Our service book has two sides to it. One for normal driving and one for more severe driving.
My wife drives the Grand Caravan to work. If I had to change the oil every 3,000 miles I would have a problem keeping track. And she isn't so good reading the decals I place in the windshield!

Maybe he means following Amsoil 25,000 mile interval will void the warranty if something was to happen. The only fool here is you. Why don't you get working on some more home brew crap for your truck.
