Hey,
I just sold my 2001 Dakota quad cab. Beautiful truck! I had the 4.7 liter and LOVED that engine. The truck had lots of power. Unfortunately every thing else started falling apart on it at 50,000 miles. Suspension, front hubs, Transmission problems and some electrical issues. I sold it when the warranty expired and bought a new silverado.
Good Luck!
Mark

Bought a Silverado, huh? The opposite of my situation- I was always a die-hard Chevy driver, now I'm looking into a Dodge! This after a '94 Blazer that was nearly dead at 80K, my mom's '99 Monte Carlo with peeling paint and a dead alternator at 33K, and my '03 S10 with (so far) broken fuel-pressure regulator, strange vibrating rattle underneath (either cat or heat shield), loose brake pedal, paint chipped to hell, a serious lack of power AND mileage, and an interior that sounds like a box of rocks.

I have heard the full-size Chevy's are better-quality than the S10's, so you're probably better off than me. I can't justify buyng a full-size though...

My wife was a little upset with me for selling it. I had anti-spin differential & it would still break traction and light up the rear tires if I got on it. (Screamed like a raped ape!) LOL!!!
I special ordered it in 2001 and always liked driving it.
Just after 50k it kept having suspension trouble, Shocks, both hubs, and 2 sets of ball joints, and I never went off road! I also had a major transmission problem.
My warranty had just expired when the tranny crapped out so I sold it before something else went screwy.
I have an older F-150 and I just bought a brand new Z71 last month. I did opt for the 100k mile warranty this time! LOL!!!
