Message: My truck came through with 265-70-16. I would like to go to a slightly larger more aggressive tire but not anything requiring a lift kit. Will the 265-75-16 clear the front fenders ?

Message: 265-75-16 is narrower than what you have now. i know some of the daks w/16's from the facotry have 255/65/16's which is wider than what you have just not as tall. prolly the tallest you can get in there without rubbing would be 31". hope this helps

Message: 31x10.5 R16 is the largest you can go without any rubbing.
32x11.5 R16 will fit fine but will rub a little when turning at full lock.
Some minor trimming of the black plastics inside fender well can solve this rubbing if it annoys you.
This is what I've read on this site before, not from personal experience.
I went the 31x10.5 route on my 2001 QC 4x4 and have no problems.

Message: What? Daddio, do you have any idea what you are talking about? I got this link for you: http://mistupid.com/automotive/tiresize.htm
A 265/75/16 is NOT narrower than a 265/70/16...Its just TALLER. The 265 is your tire width. 265 is 265 is 265. The second number is the proportional hieght of your side wall is it relates to your width.
That said - Camdyno, I have the exact size you are questioning on my 01 QC. I put on the Toyo Proxe S/T's (awesome tire) - They fit well, I only have minimal rubbing on my front bumper but that is because I have an aftermarket cover over the original bumper. With the orig. front bumper you should have no problem. Email me, Ill send you some pics.

Message: Running Cooper Discover ST 265/75-16. THe only time I've noticed rubbing was on half turns while flexing the suspension. IT will rub very slightly on the bumper. Not enough to worry about or harm the tires in any way.

Message: Thanks for all of the replies. By the way The cooper discoverer stt, right now are my second choice. I found Maxxis makes a Buckshot Mudder in 275-70-16 which has a slightly smaller diameter then the 265-75 and a bit wider. Seems like a good choice.

Message: Are your torsion bars cranked at all? With a slight crank they should fit just fine.
