questionable. My brand new 5.9,full time AWD, QC with 3.92 rear handled all of my test hills great at 55 to 60 in 4th with the torque converter locked. Even with the throttle pressure pretty hard it didn't down shift (which I hate!). Also could not detect any detonation, although it was only up in the high 60s here tonight. However, what is up with this? When I make it down shift between 40 and 50 it seems to jump around into two or three different gears (or torque converter) in about three seconds. RPMs are around 2000 to 2500 after the down shifts. Do they all do this?

50 miles, the computer hasn't even had a chance to program itself. Wait a few hundred mile for the computer to make adjustments.

The selector switch on the full time 4X4 models has three choices: AWD, 4Hi and 4Lo! That is why I described it as AWD!!!!!!!

I think the 'two or three different gears (or torque converter) in about three seconds' is the transmission shifting out of lock-up, then downshift, then back into lock-up. Mine will usually go up a little in RPM, then up a lot in RPM, then down a little in RPM as it downshifts for hills and such.
