Initialy the salesman thought it was to late, then he called me back about 15 minutes later informing me that he couldn't find anything on their computer to confirm that they still couldn't order, so they went ahead and ordered it. Won't know for sure until Monday!

Why, would you get a 5.9?
The 4.7, especially with the 5speed manual, will be as fast, more dependable, and get WAY BETTER GAS MILEAGE!
You can still change it!

I don't know about the more dependable part!? that has yet to be proven. But we all know the 5.9 will go forever. Good luck on your new wheels!!

Actually I have read this board enough to know that, although the 4.7 mileage is better, it really isn't that much better. My bros 2002 GCherokee with the 4.7 can't make it all the way up the hill leaving town in 4th, my 4L 95 Cherokee with 164,000 can. I went with the 5.9 for torque, I really don't care about a lot of speed!
