Hey guys, question: I was looking at my ball joints the other day. I didn't see how my lowers are 'pressed in' like everyone says they are. Can someone PLEASE explain????

Thanks

The LCA's have a socket in them and the ball joint itself is housed in a small cylindrical housing. The housing is pressed into the socket and is held by interference between the two.

A pickle fork will loosen the ball joint. I used the weight of my dak to re-press the ball joint back in, so far over 50k miles on the ball joints w/ no issue. I'm sure you have read, but do yourself a favor, when you do replace them, use MOOG joints, that come with the grease fittings.
Good luck
